Between the years 1998 – 2004, most Nissan Frontier pickups has been using the basic mechanical key. This key can be easily cut and no programming is needed (Average price for on-site service:  – price vary between location and different service providers).

2005 – 2014 Nissan Frontier Pickup trucks using the Nissan transponder key. In order to program this key, the locksmith (Or Nissan dealer) needs to pull a BCM code from your car computer and convert it into a 4 digits pin-code).

In addition, Nissan Frontier trucks manufactured 2009 and up are using a new pincode algorithm and may required additional fee to program.

Nissan Remote Programming Instructions

1. CLOSE and LOCK all doors (Using door power lock button).

2. INSERT then REMOVE key from ignition 6 times in 10 seconds (Hazard lights will flash 5 times).
3. Insert key to ignition and TURN ignition switch to ACC.
4. Within 5 seconds PRESS ANY BUTTON on the remote ONE TIME. Hazard lights should flash, indicating successful procedure.
5. For additional remotes, UNLOCK then LOCK using driver’s side power lock button then PRESS ANY KEY on additional remote ONE TIME. Repeat this
 step for additional remotes (Including old ones).

NOTE: On 1st step – Insert then remove key from ignition 6 times – insert and remove key all the way. Do not perform this step to quickly. help is just a phone call away
